German Skillet Dinner From: Sue/NE Makes 4 to 5 servings
1 tbsp. butter 1 (16 oz.) can sauerkraut 2/3 cup rice 1 medium onion, chopped 1 lb. ground chuck, crumbled 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
Melt butter in large skillet. Spread sauerkraut over bottom. Layer remaining ingredients in order given over sauerkraut. Cook tightly covered, over low heat for 50 minutes.
