Pecan Pie Bars Makes about 3 dozen bars
Crust: 2 cups all-purpose flour 1/2 cup powdered sugar 1 cup butter (2 sticks)
Filling: 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk 1 egg 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 (6-ounce) package almond brickle bits 1 cup chopped pecans
Heat oven to 350 degrees F. For crust, in large bowl, combine flour and powdered sugar. Cut in butter until crumbly. Press firmly on bottom of ungreased 13x9x2-inch baking pan. Bake for 15 minutes.
For filling, in large bowl, stir together sweetened condensed milk, egg and vanilla. Stir in almond brickle bits and nuts. Spread evenly over hot crust. Continue baking for 25 to 28 minutes, or until golden brown. Cool; refrigerate until firm, 2 to 3 hours. Cut into bars. Store, covered, in refrigerator.
