SOUTHERN BUTTERSCOTCH PRALINES
2 cups sugar 1 cup light brown sugar 1/4 cup light corn syrup 1 tsp. vinegar 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 cup water 3 cups pecans 1--6oz. pkg. butterscotch pieces 2 tsp. vanilla
Combine sugars, syrup, vinegar, salt & water. Mix well. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Lower heat & cook 3 minutes. Do not stir until the 3 minutes are up. Add nuts, butterscotch pieces & vanilla. Stir until butterscotch pieces are completely dissolved. Work rapidly. Drop on wax paper by spoonfuls. |
