Hot Pepper Cheese Loaf Recipe by: Tampa Bay Online From: Judi M. Phelps Makes 1 loaf
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 1 tbsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. black pepper 2 eggs 1 cup skim milk 1 tbsp. vegetable oil 2 tsp. Tabasco sauce 8 oz. sharp cheddar cheese; shredded 1 tsp. jalapeno pepper; chopped (optional) Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray 9-by-5-inch loaf pan with vegetable cooking spray. Set aside. In a large bowl combine flour, baking powder, salt and pepper. In a medium bowl gently whisk together eggs, milk, oil and pepper sauce. Add egg mixture to dry ingredients just until blended (do not over mix). Stir in Cheddar cheese and jalapeno pepper. Spoon batter into the prepared pan and place on a rack in the center of the oven.
Bake bread 45 to 50 minutes until lightly browned.
