SOUR CREAM NOODLE BAKE
18 oz. pkg. medium egg-noodles 1 cup cottage cheese 18 oz. carton sour cream 3/4 cup minced onion 2 1/2 Ib. ground chuck or ground round 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce 2 teaspoons salt 1 teaspoon pepper 2 teaspoons garlic powder 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
Cook noodles according to package directions, drain. Quickly fold in cottage cheese, sour cream, and onion. Set aside.
Cook meat; drain. Add tomato sauce, salt, pepper, and garlic powder; simmer 10 minutes.
Spoon half of noodle mixture into well-buttered 9xl3-inch baking pan. Top with half the meat mixture; repeat.
Bake in 350 degrees F oven for 30 minutes.
Sprinkle with shredded cheese and bake 5 minutes longer.
