Title: Oatmeal Snack Cake

1 cup quick oats
1-1/4 cup boiling water
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup Crisco vegetable shortening or margarine
2 eggs
1-1/3 cup flour - sifted
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla
Combine oats and water - set aside to cool
Cream sugars and shortening; beat in eggs.
Stir in flour, salt and soda, and vanilla; blend in oats.
Bake in 9x14 pan for 40-45 minutes at 350 degrees
Top with whipped cream.
