LEMON CHIFFON PIE

GERMAN SPONGE CAKE:
3 eggs seperated
1/2 cup sugar
4 tbsp cornstarch
4 tbsp flour
dash salt
1 tsp baking powder
3 tbsp water

Beat egg yolks, add sugar gradually. add water.
Mix dry ingredient together, add to egg yolk mixture.
Whip egg whites until forms stiff peaks.
Fold into yolk mixture.
Spray a flan pan with Pam spray.
Pour mixture into the pan, bake in a 350 oven,20 min.

LEMON FILLING:
make a pkg of lemon pie filling according to pkg: cool.
Fold in 1 cup or more of whipped topping.
pour on the cooled sponge cake.
With a piping bag or by using a spoon, make dollops of whip cream around the edges of filling.
Small pieces of grated lemon may be sprinkled on this for decoration.
This is a wonderful lite dessert...enjoy!
