Lady Causey's Overnight Cabbage Slaw
Excellent with BBQ.
1 medium cabbage, shredded 1 small onion, grated 1 medium bell pepper, chopped 2 carrots, grated 3/4 cup sugar 3/4 cup vinegar 1/2 cup vegetable oil 1 teaspoon celery seed 1 teaspoon dry mustard 1 teaspoon salt 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
Combine cabbage, onion, green pepper, and carrots in a large bowl and sprinkle with sugar. Set aside.
Combine remaining ingredients in a pot and boil 3 minutes. Pour over vegetables, stirring well. Chill overnight.
