Hot Fruit Compote rec.food.cooking/smatterchu
1/3 cup butter 3/4 cup packed brown sugar (light) 1 large can pears 1 large can peach halves 1 large can sliced pineapple 1 large jar of cherries Ground cinnamon and whole cloves - to sprinkle over top before baking
Melt butter and sugar. Drain fruit and place in a glass casserole dish. Pour the butter mixture over fruit. Sprinkle with cinnamon and top with whole cloves. Bake for 1 hour at 325 degrees.
