Crockpot BBQ Meatballs Newsgroups: alt.cooking-chien/Dallas and Rina
Meatballs Makes about 60 meatballs
2 pounds ground beef 1 cup onion flavored bread crumbs or plain-flavored crumbs 1 teaspoon garlic powder 2 packages onion soup mix 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce 2 eggs
In large bowl combine all ingredients. Shape into meatballs. Brown in skillet with 1 tablespoon oil. Drain on paper towel.
BBQ Sauce
2 large onions, chopped 2 6 ounces each- cans tomato paste 2 clove garlic, minced 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce 1/4 cup red wine vinegar 1/2 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup sweet pickle relish 1/2 cup beef broth 2 teaspoons salt 2 teaspoons dry mustard
Add sauce ingredients to crockpot and stir well. Place meatballs in crockpot and cook on LOW for 5-6 hours or on HIGH for 2-3 hours or until hot. Serve directly from crockpot.
