3 ounces white chocolate, chopped 1/2 cup unsalted butter 1/2 cup toasted almonds, ground 1 3/4 cups flour 1/2 teaspoon baking powder 3 eggs 1 1/4 cups sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla
In the top of a double boiler set over simmering water, melt the chocolate and butter, stirring occasionally. Cool.
Preheat oven to 350.
Mix together flour and baking powder. In a large bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar and vanilla. Stir in the chocolate mixture, the flour mixture, and the almonds and pour the batter into a greased 8-inch square baking pan. Bake for 50-55 minutes. |
