Grilled Lemon and Garlic Mushrooms rec.food.cooking/Swurvin (1995)
Here is a wonderful recipe for grilled portabella and shiitake mushrooms. You need as many mushrooms as you would like to eat that day.
1/2 cup balsamic vinegar 1 1/2 cups extra virgin olive oil (evoo) zest of 3 lemons 4 tbsp minced garlic 1/4 cup chopped parsley (or your favorite herb)
With a wire whisk or food processor slowly add the evoo to the balsamic vinegar Add the lemon zest, minced garlic,and parsley
Coat the mushrooms with a little evoo,minced garlic,salt and pepper and grill until soft to the touch. Place on a plate, coat with a little of the sauce and garnish with a little parsley sprig.
