Plum Sauce Oven Spareribs rec.food.cooking/Fred Towner (1998) Source: Sheila Exner, From the recipe files of Grandma - August 1991 Servings: 6
1 (17 oz) can purple plums 1 ea medium onion, chopped 2 tbsp butter or margarine 6 oz can frozen lemonade concentrate 1/4 cup chili sauce 1/4 cup soy sauce 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce 2 tsp prepared mustard 1 tsp ground ginger 2 drops Tabasco sauce 6 lb pork spareribs
Cut spareribs into serving size portions, cover with water. Bring to boil, cover and simmer for 1 1/2 hours. Drain.
Puree plums. Combine pureed plums, their juice and remaining ingredients, except spareribs. Simmer, uncovered, for 15 minutes. Refrigerate.
Put ribs in baking pan, cover with sauce, bake at 425 F for about 1 hour. Baste often, turn at least once.
