This recipe is from my Grandmother. It is very easy, very sticky and very good.

In a saucepan melt:
1/2 cup butter

Add:
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 cup flour
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup chopped walnuts
3 Tablespoons cocoa

Mix well and spread in a greased 8-inch square pan.
Bake 15 minutes at 350F.

Mix together:
1 cup icing sugar
2 Tablespoons hot coffee
2 or 3 Tablespoons cocoa
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 tablespoon butter

Spread icing while brownies are still hot.
Cut in squares.
