Eat 'em for breakfast Oatmeal Cookies (from my mother's recipe file) rec.food.cooking/Deborah Conrad
1 cup softened butter 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar 1/2 cup granulated sugar 2 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. ground cinnamon 1/2 tsp. salt 3 cups quick or old-fashioned style rolled oats 1 cup raisins
Heat oven to 350 degrees farenheit
Beat butter and both sugars until creamy. Add eggs & vanilla; mix thoroughly.
Combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon, salt; add to butter/sugar mixture; mix thoroughly
Stir in oats & raisins; mix well.
Drop by spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet (I line with aluminum file to save cleanup :-).
Bake 10-12 minutes or until light golden brown.
Cool slightly and call the kids.
