Surprise Cupcakes

1 large chocolate cake mix
1 egg
1 cup sugar
dash of salt
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
1 (6 ounce) package chocolate chips

Mix cake mix according to package directions. Fill cupcake papers 1/2 full. Blend together all remaining ingredients. Add 1 rounded teaspoonful to top of batter of each cupcake. Bake according to directions on the cake package.
