Blueberry Barbecue and Grilling Sauce rec.food.cooking/Sandy Miller
1 cup blueberries, fresh or frozen 1 cup ketchup 1/4 cup water 1/2 cup chopped onion 1/4 cup brown sugar 1/4 cup blueberry or cider vinegar 2 Tbsp unsulphured blackstrap molasses 2 Tbsp dijon mustard 3 cloves garlic, minced 1 tsp ground cumin 1 tsp ground thyme 1 tsp ground marjoram 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and chopped
Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer one hour, stirring occasionally. Cool slightly. Puree in processor or blender until smooth. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
