Biscayne Miracle Mile's Gingerbread Cake
From the Miami Herald many years back. The Biscayne Cafeteria was a landmark for many years in Coral Gables, Florida and was known for their down-home Southern cooking.)

3 eggs -- beaten
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1 cup sugar
1/2 tsp ground cloves
1 cup oil
1 tsp salt
1 cup molasses
1 tsp cinnamon
1 cup buttermilk
1 tsp baking powder
3 cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp baking soda
2 tsp ground ginger

Mix together eggs, sugar, oil, molasses, and buttermilk with an electric mixer. Sift dry ingredients and add to liquid mixture; blend thoroughly, but do not overmix. Bake in greased and floured 9 by 13 inch pan for 1 hour at 325 degrees.
