Filled Cookies

2 cups sugar
1 cup shortening
1 cup milk
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
4 tsp. cream of tartar
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Enough flour to roll them out about 6 or 7 cups flour. Fill with your favorite filling. Bake 375F 10-12 minutes.
