Fudge Ribbon Cake rec.food.baking/Minnie
1 package chocolate cake mix 8 ounces cream cheese -- softened 2 tablespoons butter or margarine -- softened 1 tablespoon cornstarch 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk 1 egg 1 teaspoon vanilla
Oven to 350 degrees.
Prepare cake mix. Pour batter into well-greased and floured 10-inch bundt pan.
In a small mixer bowl, beat cream cheese, butter and cornstarch until fluffy. Gradually beat in sweetened condensed milk; then egg and vanilla until smooth.
Pour evenly over cake batter.
Bake 50-55 min. or until toothpick inserted near center comes out clean.
Cool 10 min. Remove from pan. Cool thoroughly. Glaze or garnish as desired.
Store covered in the refrigerator.
