6 tbsp olive oil 7 medium garlic cloves, minced 1 1/2 pound button mushrooms, sliced 1 (28 ounce) can whole tomatoes 1 1/2 tubs chopped fresh parsley 1 tbsp tomato paste 1 1/2 tsp sugar 3/4 tsp salt
In skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add garlic and saute until tender, about 2 minutes. Add mushrooms; raise heat to high. Saute the mushrooms until they brown around the edges about 8-10 minutes. Add tomatoes, breaking them up either with your hands or a wooden spoon. Stir in the remaining ingredients; simmer until sauce thickens, about 15 minutes. Pour over pasta. |
