Grilled BBQ Beans Shared by Jamie Wernitznig 5/93
2 cans pork & beans (16 oz cans) 1/3 cup bottled barbecue sauce 1/4 cup brown sugar 1/4 cup golden raisins 1/3 cup tart (granny smith) apples 1/2 cup chopped onion 8 bacon strips
Drain pork and beans and place into oven-proof casserole bowl.
Chop onion and apples and add to beans. Also add barbecue sauce, brown sugar and raisins. Mix together and lay bacon strips on top.
Place in covered grill and bake at 350 degrees for 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
NOTE: You could probably do this in the oven instead of the grill, but it would not have the smokey taste that the ones on the grill would have.
