Amish Sugar Cookies

Makes about 15 dozen cookies

6 1/2 cup flour
6 tsp baking powder
2 tsp salt
3 cup sugar
4 eggs, beaten
2 cup buttermilk
2 tsp baking soda
2 cup oil
3 tsp vanilla

Sift flour, baking powder, and salt together in a large bowl. Add sugar. Combine eggs, buttermilk, and soda; stir. Add to the dry ingredients along with the oil and vanilla, stirring until mixed well.

Drop by teaspoonfuls onto lightly greased baking sheets. Bake at 450 degrees for 5 minutes or until done.
