Mommy Pat Nobake Cookies
Newsgroups: rec.food.recipes/Joe Goins (1996)

Here's my grandmother's version of no-bake cookies:

6 Tbsp cocoa or 1 oz chocolate
1 stick (1/2 cup) margarine less 1 Tbsp.
2 cups sugar
3/4 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup milk
3 cups quick cooking oatmeal
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine all ingredients except oatmeal and vanilla. Bring to a boil and cook for 2 minutes. Do not overcook or cookies will be sticky. Remove from heat. Add oatmeal and vanilla. Stir until all oatmeal is covered with chocolate. Drop from teaspoon onto waxed paper. Work fast. They set up quickly.
