Walnut Brownies with Mocha Frosting

Makes: 24

4 ounces unsweetened chocolate
1 cup butter
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup chopped walnuts

Mocha Frosting
4 cups confectioners' sugar
1/2 cup butter -- melted
1/3 cup baking cocoa
1/4 cup strong brewed coffee
2 teaspoons vanilla extract

In a saucepan over low heat, melt the chocolate and butter. Stir until smooth. Remove from the heat. Add sugar and mix well. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Stir in vanilla.

Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Add to the chocolate mixture just until combined. Stir in walnuts. Pour into a greased 13x9-inch baking pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack.

Combine frosting ingredients in a bowl. Mix well. Spread over brownies.
