Chocolate Crackle Topping rec.food.chocolate/Elizabeth Conner (1999)
8 ounces semisweet chocolate 1 ounce butter
Melt together semi-sweet chocolate. Add butter. Melt together over low heat. Pour over ice cream and watch harden.
Ice Cream Topping with Nuts (like Magic Shell) Source: newspaper clipping, N.D. (from R.J.W., Arlington) Makes 2 cups
1/2 pound butter 1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces 1 cup coarsely chopped walnuts or pecans
In a double boiler, melt butter and chocolate pieces, stirring until mixture is smooth. Stir in nuts. Serve hot over very cold ice cream. Sauce will harden when it comes into contact with the ice cream. Refrigerate leftovers and reheat before using.
