Chocolate Chocolate Chip Ice Cream (A county fair winner) alt.food.ice-cream/Jean Ludwig (2000)
8 eggs 2 cups sugar 1/2 teaspoon salt 3 pints heavy whipping cream 1 cup half-and-half 6 oz. coarsely crushed chocolate chips 1 cup milk 1 16 oz. can Hershey's chocolate syrup 1 teaspoon vanilla
Mix the eggs, sugar and milk and cook until the mixture can coat a spoon and taking care that the sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat and add the remaining ingredients. Freeze in an ice cream maker.
