Rice Dressed Pork Chops rec.food.recipes/Daffodil Whoaml (2002) Serves 6
6 lean pork chops, cut 1/2-inch thick 1 small onion, chopped 2 Tbsp bacon drippings 1 can cream of mushroom or celery soup 1-1/2 cup cooked rice 1 cup soft bread crumbs 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce 1 tsp. savory 1 Tbsp chili sauce salt and pepper 2/3 cup water
Arrange chops in a greased oblong baking dish. Saute onion in hot fat till soft. Add 1/2 can soup. Remove from heat. Stir in next 5 ingredients. Taste and season with salt and pepper. Cover each chop generously with dressing. Combine remaining soup with water and pour around chops. Bake at 350 for 1 hour.
