Crock Pot Beef Barley Soup rec.food.cooking/Neris (1999)
Cooked beef, cubed (leftover) 2 cups carrots, sliced thin 1 cup celery, thin sliced 3/4 cup chopped green pepper 1 large onion, diced 1/2 cup barley 1/4 chopped parsley 1-2 beef bouillon cubes 2 tsp. salt 3/4 tsp. dried basil 2 tbsp. catsup
Layer in crock pot (DO NOT STIR): 1. Vegetables and meat 2. Barley and spices 3. Cover with 5 cups water.
Cook on low 10 hours; high 6 hours, or combination of above.
