Butterscotch Brownies
1 cup brown sugar (packed) 1/4 cup cooking oil 1 egg 1 tsp. vanilla two-thirds cup sifted cake flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 cup chopped walnuts 1/2 cup butterscotch chips 2/3 cup sifted cake flour
Oven at 350 degrees. Grease an 8 inch pan (I double the recipe and use a 9 X 12 pan). Combine sugar, oil, egg and vanilla and beat well with a spoon or electric mixer on low speed. Sift dry ingredients together into mixture and blend well. Blend in nuts and butterscotch chips. Spread in pan and bake 25 min. or until top springs back. Cut into squares while warm.
