3 long buns 1/4 cup [60 mL] chopped green pepper 1 tablespoon [15 mL] dried minced onion 1 [15-ounce / 426-mL] can chili with beans 1 [15-ounce / 426-mL] can tamales 3 ounces [85 g] sharp Cheddar cheese [3/4 cup / 190 mL], shredded
Half buns lengthwise; toast. Add chopped green pepper and minced onion to chili with beans. Spread chili mixture over buns. Half drained tamales; arrange on top of chili mixture. Sprinkle with shredded cheese. Broil until cheese melts and sandwiches are heated through, for about 10 minutes.
