Barbecue Sauce (using catsup, soy sauce, and molasses) net.cooks/Robert E. Rothen (1985) Yields about 2 cups
The recipe that follows is, to me, about as great as you can use.
1/4 cup water 1/2 cup wine vinegar 1/4 cup catsup 1/4 cup molasses 1/4 cup soy sauce 1 Tbls. cornstarch 1 large clove garlic 3 bay leaves 2 medium large to large onions
Put all ingredients in blender and blend well. Pour into saucepan and bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 5-10 minutes.
You may use it immediately, or keep it in the refrigerator.
Particularly fine on spareribs or chicken.
