Banana Cake with Strawberries

1 1/2 cups margarine
3 cups sugar
5 whole eggs
3 whole bananas
4 cups flour
2 t. baking soda
1 t. baking powder
1 1/2 cups buttermilk or sour milk
1 1/2 t. vanilla extract
1 to 2 pints strawberries
1 tub cool whip or fresh whipping cream

In a mixing bowl, stir together margarine and sugar. Add 5 eggs and 3 bananas to mixture. In a separate mixing bowl, combine dry ingredients. Combine wet mixture with dry mixture. Stir in milk and vanilla. Grease and then dust 2 cake pans with flour. Pour cake mixture evenly in to pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes (until cake moves from side of pan). Cool cakes and slice lengthwise. Decorate bottom half with whipped cream and strawberries, place top half back on and decorate again.
