Mrs. Field's Egg Nog Cookies
2 1/4 cups flour 1 teaspoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg 1 1/4 cups sugar 3/4 cup butter (softened) 1/2 cup eggnog 1 teaspoon vanilla 2 large egg yolks 1 tablespoon nutmeg
Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
In a medium bowl combine flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Mix well.
In a large bowl cream sugar and butter with a mixer to form a grainy paste. Add eggnog, vanilla and egg yolks and beat on medium speed until smooth.
Add flour mixture and beat at low speed just until combined. Do not over mix.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet 1-inch apart. Sprinkle with nutmeg.
Bake for 15-20 minutes or until bottoms are light brown. Tranfer to a rack to cool.
