Sourdough Maple Walnut Bread
A twist on a basic sourdough.
3/4 cup sourdough starter 1/2 cup milk or water 3 tbsp maple syrup 1 1/2 egg 1/3 tsp cinnamon (optional) 1/2 tsp salt 1 1/2 to 3 tbsp vital gluten (optional) 3 1/3 cup whole wheat flour 1 1/2 tsp yeast 1/3 cup walnuts, chopped 1/3 cup raisins (optional)
Rises to approximately 3/4 of the pan. Flour equivalents: 4 1/2 cups. Setting: medium.
