Mozzarella Topped Garlic Bread rec.food.recipes/Pperkins/1996 Yield: 6 servings
1 Loaf fresh French or Italian Bread - slice into 12 slices Margarine or butter Garlic powder Parmesan cheese, grated Mozzarella cheese, shredded
(I've never measured the ingredients, so bear with me here --- I just kinda eyeball it).
Butter one side of each slice of bread thoroughly, and place on an ungreased baking sheet. Sprinkle each slice with garlic powder, lightly but so that the whole slice gets some. Sprinkle each slice with Parmesan cheese using the same theory as with the garlic powder. Lastly, sprinkle shredded Mozzarella cheese over each slice so that the entire slice is fairly covered. Place under broiler until Mozzarella is melted and just begins to brown, maybe 5 minutes or so. Serve warm.
