Peppered Cheese Bread Rec.food.recipes/betty/1998
2 cups flour 1 cup Shredded sharp cheddar cheese 1 teaspoon sugar 1/2 teaspoon. baking powder 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon fine ground black pepper 1 cup buttermilk 1/3 cup butter - melted 2 eggs
Combine all 7 dry ingredients in a small bowl. In a Large mixing bowl, blend buttermilk, butter + eggs. Add the dry ingredients to the large mixing bowl. Mix with wire whisk until all ingredients are moistened. Pour into a greased loaf pan. Bake 350 35-45 min. (until toothpick comes out clean ) makes 1 loaf.
