1/2 cup heavy cream 2 tablespoons butter, softened 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese, plus additional for serving 1/4 cup minced fresh basil (or chives, tarragon, parsley, or a combination) Freshly grated nutmeg
In a medium skillet, combine the 1/2 cup heavy cream and 2 tablespoons butter over moderately high heat. Bring to a simmer and cook until thick enough to coat the back of the spoon, about 2 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the 1/3 cup Parmesan, 1/4 cup minced fresh herbs, and nutmeg to taste. Stir to combine well |
