One Step Lasagna rec.food.cooking/Bill Hilbrich/1999
Here is my favorite main dish that always appears to require far more work and dedication than it actually does.
1 pound of ground meat 1 (32 oz) jar of pasta sauce.. I use Ragu 3/4 cup of water 2 teaspoons of basil 2 teaspoons of oregano 1 (12 oz) carton of Ricotta cheese 1 egg 8 uncooked lasagna noodles 1 pound of shredded mozzarella cheese 1/2 cup of parmesan cheese
Brown the ground meat, drain the fat and add sauce, spices, and water to the pan and simmer. Combine egg and Ricotta cheese and stir until smooth.
Layer 4 uncooked lasagna noodles on the bottom of a well greased (I use a spray) 9 inch by 13 inch cake pan. Cover with 1/2 of the sauce, 1/2 the ricotta cheese, 1/2 of the mozzarella cheese and then 1/2 of the parmesan. Add the other 4 noodles, and the rest of the mixtures in the same order.
Cover the pan with foil and bake for 30 minutes in a 350 (f) degree over, and then uncover and bake for another 30 minutes. Allow to cool for 10 minutes and cut into servings.
