Frozen Strawberry Margarita Pie rec.food.recipes/Christ Wilson/1995 Yield: 1 (9-inch) pie
1 1/4 cups finely crushed pretzel crumbs 1/2 cup (1 stick) plus 2 tablespoons margarine or butter, melted 1/4 cup granulated sugar 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk (NOT evaporated milk) 1 1/2 cups chopped fresh or frozen unsweetened strawberries, thawed and well-drained 1/3 cup lime juice 1/4 cup tequila 2 tablespoons triple sec or other orange-flavored liqueur Red food coloring (optional) 1 1/2 cups whipping cream, whipped
Combine pretzel crumbs, margarine and sugar; press firmly on bottom and up sides of lightly buttered 9-inch pie plate.
In large bowl, combine sweetened condensed milk, strawberries, lime juice, tequila, triple sec and food coloring; mix well.
Fold in whipped cream. Pour mixture into prepared crust.
Freeze 4 hours, or until firm. Let stand 10 minutes before serving. Garnish as desired. Return leftovers to freezer.
