ICE CREAM SODAS rec.food.recipes/Lucie (1997)
CHOCOLATE SYRUP: 1 cup light corn syrup 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
In small bowl combine corn syrup and cocoa; stir until blended. Stir in vanilla. Store covered in refrigerator. Makes 1 1/4 cups syrup.
COFFEE SYRUP: 2 tablespoons instant coffee powder 1 tablespoon warm water 1 cup light corn syrup 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
In small bowl combine coffee powder and water; stir until coffee dissolves. Stir in corn syrup and vanilla. Store covered in refrigerator. Makes 1 cup syrup.
TO MAKE ICE CREAM SODAS:
In tall glass stir 1/4 cup milk and 3 tablespoons Chocolate or Coffee Syrup until well blended. Add 2 scoops ice cream. Fill with chilled club soda or seltzer.
