Sour Cream Walnut Bars
Source: Nestle Best-Ever Cookies
Makes 48

2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon ground ginger
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup butter or margarine -- softened
2 eggs
1 cup solid pack pumpkin
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 cup chopped nuts

Butter Icing
1/3 cup butter
3 cups sifted powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 tablespoons milk

Combine flour, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda, ginger, salt and allspice in medium bowl.

Beat sugar, sour cream, butter and eggs in large mixer bowl until blended.

Beat in pumpkin and vanilla. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in nuts.

Spread batter into greased and floured 15x10-inch jelly-roll pan.

Bake in preheated 375 degree oven for 20-25 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely in pan on wire rack.

Spread with Butter Icing. Cut into bars.

Butter Icing: Heat butter in medium saucepan over medium heat, stirring until melted. Remove from heat. Stir in sifted powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Stir in milk until icing is of spreading consistency.
