Chocolate Chess Pie Source: Marien Stacey
1 1/2 cups sugar 3 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder 2 eggs, beaten 5 oz can evaporated milk 1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted 1 tsp vanilla 1 dash salt 1 (9 inch) unbaked pie crust
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. In a medium mixing bowl, stir together sugar and cocoa. Add eggs, evaporated milk, melted butter, vanilla and salt. Carefully pour the mixture into a pastry lined tart pan or pie plate. Bake about 50 minutes or until puffed over the entire surface. Cool and serve with whipped cream.
