California Corn Bread Mix (using Bisquick)

2 cups Bisquick baking mix
1/2 cup cornmeal
1/2 cup sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder

Combine all ingredients in a glass or ceramic bowl. Store in an airtight container. Use in California Cornbread.

California Cornbread

1 recipe California Corn Bread Mix
2 eggs
1 cup milk
1/2 cup margarine -- melted

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Place the corn bread mix in a large mixing bowl and add eggs, milk and melted margarine. Blend until smooth. Pour into a greased 8-inch baking pan. Bake for 30 minutes.
