Prusciutto and Cream Cheese Roll-ups rec.food.cooking/Jeanne Leake/1995
Take the block of cream cheese and cream it with a couple tablespoons of commercial mayonnaise (up here in Canada I use Miracle Whip) and some white pepper, about half a teaspoon.
Take thinly sliced prusciutto (you can substitute, right down to bologna) and cut into 2-inch-wide strips.
Spread a tablespoon of the cream cheese stuff on the short end of the strip, roll it up, cut it in half, chill at least an hour, or overnight.
Stick a toothpick in each one, you can "arrange on a lettuce leaf" if you want to be fancy. People love these, that combination of the salty ham and the cream cheese is perfect with drinks.
