Grilled Hot Dogs in Butter and Beer Sauce Source: Southern Living Yield: 10 sandwiches
1/4 cup butter 12 oz beer 1 large onion; thinly sliced 1 lb hot dogs 10 hot dog buns Melt butter in saucepan; add beer and onion. Cover and cook over low heat 30 minutes. Transfer saucepan to grill.
Heat hot dogs on grill. While they grill, use tongs to dip them into beer sauce four or five times at 5-minute intervals.
Serve wieners in buns; spoon cooked onions and sauce over hot dogs.
