Lazy Red Wine Crock Pot Roast
2 cups red wine 1/2 cup water 1 envelope dry onion soup mix 1 tablespoon brown sugar 1 teaspoon dried rosemary or fresh rosemary 4 lbs trimmed beef roast 1 to 2 teaspoon cornstarch
Place the roast in the crock pot and season with pepper.
Mix the first five ingredients together and pour over the roast. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours.
Remove the roast to rest on a platter. Turn the crock pot to high. Whisk the cornstarch into a little cold water then into the juices to thicken.
