Quiche Lorraine
1 pastry shell 1 tbsp melted butter or margarine 1/4 lb Swiss cheese, shredded 20 bacon slices, cooked and crumbled 4 eggs, beaten 2 cups heavy cream 3/4 tsp salt dash nutmeg pinch of sugar pepper to taste
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Brush pastry shell with butter.
Mix all ingredients in a large bowl. Pour mixture into pie shell.
Bake for 15 mins. Reduce oven temperature to 300 degrees for 40 mins or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
