Nutmeg Delight Cookies

2/3 cup butter
2 cups sifted flour
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 egg
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cream of tarter
pecans pieces

Sift flour, soda, salt, nutmeg and cream of tarter together.

Cream butter and sugar together. Blend in egg. Add dry ingredients to butter mixture, blending well.

Roll in 1 inch balls and place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten with fork and place a piece of pecan in center of each cookie.

Bake in a 350F oven for 9-11 minutess.

Yield: about 7 dozen.
