Maple Chocolate Walnut Bars

1 1/2 cups unsifted flour
2/3 cup sugar
l/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup cold margarine or butter
2 eggs
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk (NOT evaporated milk)
1/2 teaspoons maple favoring
2 cups chopped walnuts
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350F.

In large bowl, combine flour, sugar and salt; cut in margarine until crumbly. Stir in 1 beaten egg. Press evenly into 13x9-inch baking pan.

Bake at 350F for 25 minutes.

Meanwhile, in medium bowl, beat milk, remaining egg and flavoring, stir in walnuts.

Sprinkle chips evenly over prepared crust. Top with walnut mixture.

Bake 20 minutes longer or until golden. Cool. Cut into bars. Store tightly covered at room temperature.
